About the Collection
The director maintains one of the world's great private First World War collections — aircraft, uniforms, and memorabilia — alongside film-history objects, including the screen-used Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car he purchased at auction for $805,000 (Profiles in History, reported by press).
Custodianship Philosophy
"History belongs to whoever keeps it alive."
